A Letter From Wyatt

Hello,

In the Fall of 2002, I decided to take a little break from my job as a 3rd grade teacher in Juneau, Alaska. I started applying for international teaching jobs and in March of 2003 was offered an IT (Informational Technology) job at a private K - 12 school in Caracas, Venezuela. Instead of sending out long emails to my friends, I ventured to construct this website as a photo essay chronicling my time in South America. I am also using this site to catch up with web design trends. A lot has happened since I taught myself HTML in 1996. Everything has become more complicated and exciting. If you continue to visit my site, you will notice additions and subtractions and new experiments. I originally launched the site in September 2003 and use MS Frontpage for it's design and management. For a time I used Macromedia Dreamweaver. The graphics and photos are designed or manipulated in Macromedia Fireworks.

You should note that my photos are dated but the date given does not always reflect the date of the event in the photo. I chose to use a daily format for my essay in order to make things easier to manage.

Thank you for your visit. I hope you come again and let your friends know about the fun things going on here.
