Summer Favorites

Alaska: Summer 2003

These are my top 10 favorite shots from the summer of 2003. They are included in the other portions of the Alaskan gallery but they begged to be highlight further. They are the photos that really take my breath away when I look at them. My credit does not go to myself but to the Creator of such beauty. Some of the shots don't look nearly as good in these Internet-friendly sizes as they do in the originals. Though not the original size, you may select a photo to see a little larger version.

I like this photo for a silly reason.  Taken on the Chilkoot Trail, it represents the three forms of water in one simple shot.

I can not describe the exhilaration I felt while looking upon this Canadian lake on the Chilkoot Trail.
#8

Not only is this a pretty photo, it is a good memory anchor for my 10 days on the M/V Surfbird.
#7

This is basically how 5 tough days hiking the Chilkoot Trail ends.  It is an awesome way to complete the trail.
#6

The Mendenhall Glacier in the back-ground and a float plane in the foreground give me of some good memories.
#5

Nothing could beat a sunny day in Alaska.  I can almost picture myself there now.
#4

This photo was a total accident but it is one of my all time favorites.

That blue!
#2

A peaceful afternoon photo of God's nature at its finest.

The power and majesty of this glacier is amazing.  I could never tire of looking at this photo nor at the actual South Sawyer Glacier.
