Yesterday brought this last cruise ship of the year. Up to 6 ships per day have been coming and going from the downtown harbor since May. Some days our population, regularly around 30,000 people, swelled to over 40,000. Now this last ship brings the official end to tourist season in Juneau. Now the town will return to a few months of peace.... at least until the state legislature begins in January.
