  Alaska

Wyatt in Juneau
A Daily Photo Essay of My Journey

I know that most people think of Alaska as a large ice-box. The truth is that there are portions of this state that don't get huge amounts of snow. Juneau's major snow season usually begins sometime in December and ends in March. In that season snow accumulates for a foot or two before the weather either turns unbearably cold or warm and slushy. This year, the formula has changed. It isn't even Thanksgiving and we have already had more than three feet of snow over the course of the past week and the forecast is calling for more. I have not been in Juneau for a winter like this since I was a kid.

Let it snow!!!
