As the plane from yesterday's photo came closer I discovered it was an HC-130 from the U.S. Coast Guard. The Coast Guard is an important and well respected pillar of our community. They are known for the hard work and fearless commitment to saving lives. A new CG Admiral has just been commissioned for Alaska and this plane was likely in the area to assist in his installment.
