A Daily Photo Essay of My Journey

On the first day, the rain stopped long enough for us to take the students over to a nearby beach and let them make sand-candles. This is basically done by melting crayons into wax and pouring them into a small hole in the sand. Add a wick, let it cool, and you have a candle. The kids enjoyed doing this activity and also exploring the beach.
