Wyatt in Juneau
A Daily Photo Essay of My Journey

One of the things my students enjoyed most from their talk with Maurice and Angie (see yesterday) was the gold they had to share. Maurice panned all of this gold (and more) out of a local stream. In fact, it is the same stream that sparked the founding of Juneau in 1880. He then made the gold flakes into this necklace for his wife. Not bad for an 89 year old fellow.
