My desk at school is a mess. I don't sit there much during the day when I am working with students. Even so, it gets quite cluttered. This is only one section... my bookshelf. I hold my favorite school books there. The thing that got me thinking about adding this shot to the journey is the second book from the right. It is a first-edition copy of "Where the Sidewalk Ends" by Shel Silverstein. It was my sister's when we were growing up and she had colored many of the pictures. That is a very popular book among my students. They beg me to let them borrow it. For a twenty-plus year old book, it still inspires the joy of reading. Thanks for giving it to me, Patty.
