  Romania

Wyatt in Bucharest
A Daily Photo Essay of My Journey

Train rides can be a lot of fun. But this photos reminds me of a story that took place on one of my last nights in Romania. Bubba and the interns left on a late night train to Moldova and the rest of us went to the train station to see them off. After an unexpected ride through Bucharest with a crazy taxi driver we all had our final hugs. 20 minutes later I realized that I didn't have the key to our apartment. A quick call to Lavinia revealed that the two spares were on the train to Moldova. At the next station, they left the key on a fence post and called a friend to come find it. So at 1:00 in the morning I found myself driving with Lavinia to a city 60 kilometers away hoping the friend would find the keys. Eventually he did and we met up with him around 2:30 AM. It was quite an adventure for one of the final days.
