After work yesterday, I played tour guide to some friends who were in for the day on a cruise.  Jackie and Orville live in Vancouver, Washington a few blocks from my parents.  We had an enjoyable evening driving around Juneau on one of the rainiest days ever. They seemed impressed by the mountains, glaciers, water, and trees. They also were surprised to see Fred Meyer and Safeway stores. I think they were expecting a little more primitive living. We had lots of laughs and good conversation during their visit.
