A Daily Photo Essay of My Journey

As you continue to visit this site during the Fall and Winter, you will likely see lots of photos of the Mendenhall Glacier. It is one of my favorite places on earth. The glacier is up the valley a little over two miles from my home and I go there often. Last Sunday was sunny and bright so I slipped up to the glacier early in the morning for some photos. Below are photos I took a month ago of some friends swimming in a lake near the front of the glacier like I used to do when I was young. There are not many communities in the world that can claim a glacier lake as a local swimming hole.
