There is a salt chuck that is located north of town. It is always calm and picturesque. You have probably seen photos of it in advertisements for Alaska. In those ads, there is usually a fly-fisherman in the foreground. Oddly, the lake was clearer than the reality it reflected so I turned this photo over.
