A Daily Photo Essay of My Journey

How can one describe the joy of the first snow except through the eyes (or mouth) of a child? Yesterday morning at 11:30, my students started yelling, "IT'S SNOWING!!!" They could hardly contain their excitement. For that matter, neither could I. Its been 3 years since my last first snow. There is something very magical and exciting about this event. The students spent their recess catching snowflakes on their tongues. One of my boys commented, "There is nothing as good as the taste snow on your tongue." The snow continued on until well after school then turned pretty wet. We ended the day with about an inch of wet-snow...perfect for making snowballs.
