This past weekend was spent in central Venezuela. My New Tribes Missions friends live in Puerto Ordaz and help with flight services to remote mission locations. Most of our weekend was spent sitting and chatting. Lisa is an amazing cook and kept me well fed. At one point, the power went out for 10 hours so we sat in the dark telling bad jokes and sweating without an AC or fans. Saturday afternoon, Kevin took me to a park near their house. Except for the intense heat and aggressive insects, it was really quite pretty.
