Wyatt in Bogotá
A Daily Photo Essay of My Journey

Later in the week I will have photos of Bogotá and its beauty. However, the most significant part of the trip was meeting new friends. As fellow Christians, Rafael and Sonia opened their home to me while I was in Bogotá and provided transportation around the city. They were very kind. Rafael is a talker and joker and though his English is as equally poor as my Spanish, we were able to do a fair amount of communication and friendly ribbing. I am still trying to figure out the word "fotufutufufufu" he tried to teach me.* Incidentally, Bogotá has more one-way streets than even Caracas so we spent a large amount of time in the car.

*It is a nonsense word used to fill space.  It is like of like saying "whatchamacallit" as in, "We need to go do some shopping and that other whatchamacallit thing."
