Wyatt in Caracas
A Daily Photo Essay of My Journey

Dulce, a co-worker, knows that I am always on the lookout for new and exciting cultural experiences so she invited me to her son's Piņata on Saturday. He turned four. Although I have a mild case of coulrophobia (look it up), the most interesting thing to me was watching Maiky (pronounced Mikey) the Clown interact with the kids. Some of the kids were English only and some Spanish only and some bilingual. They tell me Maiky is the only bilingual clown in Caracas so he was able to to communicate with all the partiers in their own language. I guess he is frequently invited to ECA and embassy parties because of this talent. By my best guess, I figure there were about 100 people at the party. I enjoyed the cross-cultural interaction.
