Wyatt in Europe
A Daily Photo Essay of My Journey

Something interesting, confusing, and fun happened to the Romanian lei while I was visiting. For several reasons, the government dropped four zeros from the end of their money. With the stabilization of their economy, they made the change to make dealing with the numbers easier. For example, a bill worth 100,000 lei before became 10 lei. They also wished to standardize the size of the bills and coins to be the same as those the European Union uses. They hope to enter the EU soon.
