A Daily Photo Essay of My Journey

A few weeks ago, a friend was driving me home and asked if I wanted to see something unexpected. Of course I was game. She wove through several neighborhoods and finally turned a corner to reveal this "castle" in the middle of the city. The castle is actually a house built by a Lebanese Jew in the 70's and 80's. Much of the house is made from the rubble of demolished buildings. From what I've gathered, he made the house as a monument to peace and unity and has displayed symbols of several religions and anti-religions throughout the structure. I couldn't get any good photos the first time I went because of the darkness but I talked Michelle into driving me up there after work last week to get these shots.
