January 23rd marked the 47th anniversary of Venezuelan democracy, so Caracas citizen's turned out in large numbers to march for their personal political beliefs. While eating lunch at a friend's apartment, we could see government supporters walking below. The parade took an hour to pass and at times it was very hard to hear our conversations over the noise of the marchers. It gave mom and dad a good dose of Venezuelan politics.
