Wyatt on Bahia de Cata
A Daily Photo Essay of My Journey

While Michelle went on her car-repairing mission, Dad, Mom, and I caught an iffy cab the last 3 miles to Cata Beach. It was raining when we arrived so we rented an open-air tent for the day. The sun soon came, but we discovered we had left a few important things back in the car. For example, Mom spent the day reading her camera's instruction manual because she had forgotten her book and none of us spent much time wandering on the beach or splashing in the waves because I had left the sun block. Even so, I got a nice sunburn. We mostly just talked, watched the Venezuelans, and worried about the car. We finally heard from Michelle when she was back to the car with the part. We caught an even iffier cab back to her and waited for the final repairs. Overall the day was not dreadful. In fact, it ended on a very positive note as we ate in an INCREDIBLE Japanese restaurant owned by friends of Michelle's friends and laughed about the day.
