Wyatt in Cabudare
A Daily Photo Essay of My Journey

ECA classes were closed Friday due to the heavy rains in the country so I took a bus back to Barquisimeto to assist a friend in driving back to Caracas. My only stop was at a friend's home in Cabudare (near Barquisimeto). While with the Mejias family, I admired a painting by one of the daughters, Abigail. I mentioned that it had a little-bit of a Van Gogh feel to it. As I was leaving, she surprised and honored me by giving me the painting. She was very excited when she figured out that she was going "international" with her work. The painting helped make the 16 hour road-trip worth the effort.
