  Venezuela

A Daily Photo Essay of My Journey

Of course, the best part of the weekend was getting to hang out with some of the finest Venezuelan Christians in the country. These young people were alive with love for God. I especially enjoyed the singing. Being in charge of the multimedia projector gave me the best seat in the house. I sat directly front-and-center and was blasted with some of the finest a cappella singing I've ever heard. The most emotional moment for me was on the last night when I was personally serenaded by a large group the campers. In response, I was allowed to sing "Our God, He is Alive" with my friend Michelle. The Venezuelans stood around us as we sang. When we finished, there was dead silence long enough for me to wonder if they liked it but then there was an explosion of sound as the campers replied with enthusiastic clapping and cheering. I felt truly blessed.
