Wyatt on VE Roads
A Daily Photo Essay of My Journey

Speaking of highways (see yesterday), there are a couple main arteries that funnel traffic through Caracas. Day and night, these roads stay busy. There are certain times on certain days that certain stretches of road should be avoided because of the traffic jams. There really isn't a rush-hour as much as there is a rush-three hours in the morning and again in the evening.  The worst time to try to travel is on a Friday after 4:30 when it has been raining. You can pretty much forget about getting anywhere quick. That added to all the one-way streets in this city, you might as well just stay home, prop up your feet, and watch a good movie. It would be better for your blood pressure.
