  Venezuela

Wyatt on VE Roads
A Daily Photo Essay of My Journey

Along the routes of most major highways throughout Venezuela are tollbooths. The crazy thing about these booths is that you can sometimes sit in a traffic-jammed line for an hour in order to pay the 200 Bolivar (about 10 cent) fee. As you sit in line to pay the toll, there are Venezuelan entrepreneurs walking between the cars trying to sell candy, beach toys, car parts, or other odd items. The weird thing about that is that there might be 100 people trying to sell stuff but you only see 5 different products. My guess is that they may be more successful if they varied their merchandise.
