It is the time of year for Christmas parties. My church had theirs last Saturday night. It started with the unforgettable singing of carols and moved quickly into a white-elephant gift exchange. Everybody was nervous about getting a frozen leg-of-lamb that has been passed around for at least 20 years. In the end, it was in the one package not chosen. I am sure it will return next year. The party was put together by my good friend Wanda (pictured in green below).
