One is apt to meet friends
along the road. After driving up a steep hill on a road in
British Columbia, I pulled my car into an rest-area and soon
struck up a conversation with Sam and Carolyn. They live in
North Carolina but were driving to Alaska for a good
vacation. Little did we know that for the next week our
paths would cross several times in camp-grounds,
restaurants, and along roads. It even came to the point
where they found themselves in Juneau by unforeseen
circumstances. I, of course, treated them to the best that
the capital city had to offer. |
