While at my parent's house, I had the opportunity to go to a great concert with a friend. We went to see Jars of Clay, a contemporary Christian group. They put on a terrific show. Just as much as the group, I enjoyed their warm-up act. It was an author named Ron Miller reading a chapter or two from a soon-to-be-published book. I bought one of his books after the concert called Blue Like Jazz. I also bought a Jars of Clay CD called Redemption Songs in which they modernized many of the great Christian hymns. I've listened to it a enormous amount this year.
