Wyatt in Istanbul
A Daily Photo Essay of My Journey

Most people know that Istanbul sits on the boarder between Asia and Europe. The only thing separating the two continents is a straight that comes down from the Black Sea into the Sea of Marmara. I spent one day on the Asian shore exploring the extension of the city. While there, I took a little boat out to the Maiden's Tower (Kiz Kulesi). This little island sits in the harbor. It was built in 341 B.C. originally as a mausoleum and over the years has been a toll-booth, an isle of exile, a light house, and is currently a restaurant. Recently it was the location for an important scene in a 007 movie (The World is Not Enough)
