A Daily Photo Essay of My Journey

There are over 4000 shops in what is likely the largest and oldest bazaar in the world. The Grand Bazaar is a maze of covered halls in which you can buy anything from leather, to fabrics, to copperware, to antiques, to gold, to jewelry, to candies, to just about anything. I think people who like to barter and bargain shop would like this place much more that I did. I got very tired of people yelling, "Hey you!!! American!!" I actually had a salesman say, "American, where are you from?  Alaska!! I have three cousins who live there!! Okay, not in Alaska but close... they live in NEW JERSEY!!"
