Wyatt Near Cumana
A Daily Photo Essay of My Journey

Much of this past weekend was spent in a car but it was worth it as we helped plant a small church 300 miles East from Caracas. The mother of Rosa, a Caracas Christian, wished to be baptized and give her life to God so five of us traveled over there to help. Mama Rosa is in poor health and lives in a cinderblock house in the mountain filled area near a town called Cunama. Although there is a river flowing behind the house, it was cold (for an old lady with a heart condition) and difficult to get to so we baptized her in a garbage can. As my missionary friend Michelle said, "It seemed like a good container to throw her sins away in."
