I returned from my trip this weekend and was able to rest for a little while before Michelle called with the sad news that our friend Carlos (far left) died this afternoon of complications from his esophageal surgery. Whenever he was in Caracas, he came to the Bible study at my house and shared his faith with us. We know he is with God now. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a good spirit. I am very glad we were able to visit him in the hospital last week. It was an honor to know him. He will be missed.
