A Daily Photo Essay of My Journey

Since I will be traveling on this day, I will take the opportunity to post some vanity photos because they will only appear in the archives and not on the first page. We start with the photo above which is of a bulletin board designed by my friend James Johnston. James has a wicked sense of humor and is also an natural encourager so every time I look at this board hanging in my lab I have to laugh. James also passed out about 50 photocopies of the head-shot to students so they could wear something home in my memory. I found it all quite embarrassing and funny. It is wonderful to have friends who do goofy things for/to you.

Below are two photos taken last week at a fund-raiser for Cystic Fibrosis. I was asked to sing "Bridge Over Troubled Water" By Paul Simon. It was a difficult piece but was well received. The co-worker ladies in the photo on the right acted as if they were my groupies. It was an honor to be asked to sing and give a little joy to those who were there.
