It has been so exceptionally hot and muggy in Caracas these past few weeks that even the Venezuelans have been complaining. One good way locals cool down is to buy a Bon Ice frozen treat. In the states we have a similar treat called Freeze Pops. They are basically just frozen sugar-water. One of the nice things is that they are reasonably cheep. You can buy one from a vendor for 300 Bs (14 cents). I have taken to getting mine at a store and keeping my fridge stocked so I can get through the warm afternoons. This weather can be tough on an old Alaska boy.
