Wyatt in Caracas
A Daily Photo Essay of My Journey

It has been an honor and privilege to be a part of the Iglesia de Cristo en el Este while in Caracas. Building relationships with Venezuelans of similar faith has been wonderful. On Sunday, my friend Jhonny was baptized.  I felt very honored to be there and watch him give his life to Christ. The baptismal is a wadding pool set up in my friend Luis's apartment. It takes 45 minutes to fill. This was also the first baptism that ICE got to use some new baptismal robes donated by my parent's church in Vancouver, Washington. The church here was excited about that and everyone was excited about our new Christian brother.

P.S. Before loading my site this morning I got an email from my mom saying that a good friend of mine in Vancouver was also baptized last night. Mom writes at 1:00 AM, "We just returned home from Kunkle's where we were privileged to witness the baptism of our new brother, Carl Sofie..... Before they got out of the tub we sang "Wonderful" and before another song could be started, Carl started "The Family of God". I think we all almost chocked up over that one....... 'Twas a very special mid-night, midnight event." (edited for length)

Christians get excited about these events.
