  Venezuela

Wyatt in Mérida
A Daily Photo Essay of My Journey

"On a scale of one to 10... this trip is at least a 15," Mike told me yesterday.  Our first day in Merida was spent wandering around. The world famous 700 flavor ice-cream shop was closed for repairs so I appeased Mike with a giant Brownie-Delight (does he look appeased?). We also met an English-speaking teenager named Cesar who aspires to be a doctor and was able to help us with some travel bugs. We also did some shopping and a walking tour which included the Basilica. At the end of the day we were exhausted and Mike fell asleep with good thoughts of Venezuela on his mind.
