This past weekend I was asked to ride shot-gun on a quick trip to Barquisimeto which is about 5 hours drive to the east. My friend Michelle and I left at 4 on Friday afternoon and returned Sunday morning by 8:00.  Michelle was invited to speak to the ladies at a youth retreat. I read books, went on walks, and fiddled with my computer while the conference went on.  During the breaks I practiced my Spanish with the Venezuelans.
