With all certainty, the most magical moment of my weekend on Margarita Island was seeing the sea turtles at the maritime museum. They have a large tank with 10 or more turtles that are being healed of injuries.  They were beautiful, graceful and surprisingly large. One reached at least a full meter. The museum also had on display the head and shell of the largest recorded sea-turtle.
