  Venezuela

A Daily Photo Essay of My Journey

One meal I truly never expected to get in Venezuela was fresh, grilled, Alaskan salmon. However, last night I was invited to a friends house for such a meal. In an odd event, they were given vacuum-sealed, flash-frozen salmon from Alaska by a neighbor who moved back to the states. Since they knew of my Alaska connection, they grilled some up for me. The meal, the conversation, and the memories of Alaska made for a wonderful evening.  As you will see below, they even decorated for my visit.
