A Daily Photo Essay of My Journey

The word 'shock' is likely the best word to describe my Russian co-travelers when we got to our campground up-river from Canaima. Having signed up specifically for a more rugged tour, I knew to expect hammocks, no lights, and simple travel accommodations. They weren't expecting it. However, they took it all in stride and seemed to enjoy our time there. After all, we had a very nice guide named Hector and the hammocks gave us comfortable rest. The photo above is a view from near the cabin.
