This is Alejandro and his mother. Alejandro's mother is the excellent cook for some friend's of mine. Alejandro just turned 18 last week.  He also was admitted to the hospital last week after learning that he has an enlarged heart.  Currently doctors are uncertain what can be done about it. I ask that you add Alejandro and his mother to your prayer list.  Sunday some friends and I visited him at the hospital.  It was good to encourage and pray with them.  The hospital was not like any you would find in the U.S. It was not a sad nor solemn place but I saw many people who were lonely or depressed.  Even a simple smile or wave seemed to brighten a spirit or two. I hope to go back next year and somehow encourage whoever I can in spite of my limited language skills.
 

Note: Alejandro died in July.  The people who knew him loved him and are very sad.
