A Daily Photo Essay of My Journey

Who knew that a gas station would be a social hub for a community. This station (pronounced Tex-AH-co) is located down the hill from school and holds the closest cash and photo-card machines. It also has a restaurant and a small store. The amazing thing is that it is ALWAYS busy. You can go in the middle of the night and there will be tons of people there. This past week, I came home very late at night and there was a huge line of cars backed up down the road. I learned the next day that there was a brief fuel shortage in the city. Hard to believe that could happen in the 5th largest oil producing country in the world.
