Wyatt in Caracas
A Daily Photo Essay of My Journey

This kindly gentleman is the official ECA ice cream salesman. Whenever school is out or there is a sports event, he is there to sell. He told me today that he is originally from Italy but has lived in Venezuela for 52 years. I wish my Spanish were better because I bet he has many interesting stories. I understand he is famous in Caracas having appeared in several commercials and on a bill-board. Despite the warm climate, most afternoons I resist the urge to buy his ice cream. Don't feel sorry for him. I assure you he has a steady stream of customers (most of whom are under 4 foot tall).
