My friend Robyn (with whom I was traveling) and I have a friend who is an engineer on the boat so we got a special tour of the bridge. It was just like being on the helm of Star Trek.  Everything is digitized with manual backup.  The captain and the co-captain always sit by each other at the controls. The vessel moves so fast that if one looks down the other has to be looking up so they don't plow into anything.  It was a very impressive tour.
