One of Alaska's most beautify but prickly plants is the aptly named Devil's Club.  These forest floor, broad-leafed plant can grow up to 15 feet in their reach for the light and their thorns can be up to 2 inches long.  Many a time have I accidentally grabbed this plant and paid the price.
