Wyatt in Caracas
A Daily Photo Essay of My Journey

After our experience with the beach, we were eager to get back to Caracas to relax for a day before school commenced. We were shocked to learn that the busses from Puerto La Cruz had been sold out for the next two days. We had been told that tickets could not be purchased in advance. Luckily we found a cab leaving immediately for Caracas and got a good fare because of our willingness to share with two others. Our driver, Fermin, was fast and furious. He took a wrong turn early in the trip so I pulled out my GPS on which I had recorded our trip over. I am sure that the lady sitting next to me had never seen a GPS before but she caught on VERY quickly and started yelling at the driver that he needed to turn around. I was afraid she might start swinging her purse. It was humorous. The trip was an adventure and I'm glad we made it back home safely.
