Upon arriving in Puerto La Cruz, we found ourselves staying in the lovely Hotel Tropical Suites. It was a little more expensive than we expected, the shower didn't work the first morning, the air-conditioner wasn't turned on until late on the second day, and there was no complementary breakfast but we still enjoyed our stay. We were in room 404 (the open door in the photo above) across from the glass-elevator. Interestingly, room 404 is located on the third floor (by Venezuelan standards).
