Wyatt in Puerto La Cruz
A Daily Photo Essay of My Journey

Carnival is one of the biggest weekends of the year in South and Central America. It is a holiday designed to allow the Catholics to party-it-up before Lent begins Wednesday. Our school let out for 2 days to allow some R&R. After the Christmas break I was so exhausted from travel I didn't want to even think about what to do this weekend until it was too late. So I talked my co-worker Gerry into striking out on an adventure. With no solid plan, we caught a bus to Puerto La Cruz, a tourist town 150 miles to the east. It was a fun and crazy adventure (as you will see) and our motto became, "Fortune belongs to the bold!"

P.S. Happy Anniversary for 40 years of marriage!!!!
You are an example to us all.
