Wyatt in Colonia Tovar
A Daily Photo Essay of My Journey

My favorite part of Colonia Tovar was the fresh produce sold on the streets. I couldn't believe the prices of the foods. For example, I bought a flat of strawberries for about 6 dollars. They also had huge carrots, radishes, tomatoes, herbs, pears, onions, broccoli, cauliflower, melons, two types of egg-plant, orchards, avocados, and much more. One of my friends bought the large jar of peaches featured below. I'm not certain what type of beans those are but they were colorful and interesting. We got excited when we found strawberry cheese-cake. It wasn't real cheese-cake but we enjoyed it anyway. I can't wait to go back and try some more crops.
