I didn't go river rafting this summer but I often watched tourists raft down the Mendenhall River.  It is a slow raft trip but very pretty.  This was the sunniest summer in Juneau that I can remember.  We had over 10 days of 80+ degree weather.  Locals and tourists alike enjoyed it.
