I have found lots of interesting seeds in Venezuela but this one tops them all.  It was about 6 inches long and was of the standard helicopter variety.  However, this one had a big spiky ball on one end.  I would hate to be walking through the jungle and have this land on me.  One friend speculated that it was designed to kill some unsuspecting victim as it fell so it would have guaranteed nourishment.
